We've been told that Netherhall School hall will be closed for maintenance work on Wednesday 27th October, so there will be no training that evening. As with previous Netherhall closures, you can train at the Regional College the following evening, or adults could come to the Monday class at Kelsey Kerridge.
The closures on November 3 and November 24 will no longer happen and training will take place as normal, see this updated page for details.
Because of the Cambridge University Societies' Fair, unfortunately we won't be able to train at Kelsey Kerridge next Monday, 4th October.
Because of various school functions, training at Netherhall won't take place on the following dates:
Update - Training is no longer cancelled on 3 November and 24 November
We are no longer able to transfer to the Lower School, as this is now separate from the Upper School and due for redevelopment. Please go instead to Cambridge Regional College on Thursday, 7.15-8.15. Alternatively, if aged 10 or older, join the adult class on the following Wednesday at Netherhall, and train for two hours in total.
The good news is that a purpose built martial rooms is under construction, due for completion in Spring 2011, to which we will be transferring. This will mean no more cancellations, and a much improved training environment.
Check out the new terminology section. It contains links to tables of karate terminology in English and Japanese, from the SKA syllabus.
The grading that was planned for Sunday 19th September has been moved back one week to Sunday 26th September. This is because there is a family fun day taking place at the Regional College in aid of Cancer Research UK. We'll still be there though, giving a demonstration from 11am-noon. This will take the form of a lesson - all adult members of the club are encouraged to join in, and bring their children.
A reminder that as Monday 30th August is a Bank Holiday, Kelsey Kerridge Sports Hall will be closed and so there will be no training.
The SKA Open Day 2010 will be held on Sunday 4th July, at Southbury Leisure Centre, Enfield, from 11am-4pm. Whatever your grade, this is always a great day's training.
A reminder that there will be no training on Monday 31st May, as Kelsey Kerridge will be closed for the Bank Holiday
